Senior Health Care Assistant

Reporting to:         Manager

Key Tasks

·        Administration of Medication to service users

·        Leading, directing and managing of staff if running the shift including responding to emergencies.

·        Provide personal care such as washing, bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting assistance to the Service Users and will undertake manual handling duties as required.

·        Access and update confidential records using a computer. Maintain necessary records such as Service Users care plans, and contribute to reviews of customers’ needs as directed.

·        Work with the Activities Co-ordinator to encourage the Service Users to take part in organised activities and one to one support.

·        Liaise with other professionals such as GP’s Social workers and families.

Senior Night Health Care Assistant only

·        You will be expected to stay awake and not leave the building when you are on duty.

·        To carry out security checks to maintain the wellbeing and safety of the Service users.
