Register Nurse – Care Homes

Nurse

Reporting to:         Clinical Manager/Business Manager

Key Tasks

1. To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines:

·        Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care

·        Delivery of clinical interventions

·        Assisting in personal care as required

·        Maintaining accurate, complete and sufficiently detailed records

2. Planning and organising own time and that of care staff, providing day to day supervision of care provided:

·        Monitors and checks work undertaken to ensure that it is safe, effective, caring and responsive to the needs of the customers

3. To be familiar with the role and responsibilities with regard to the Safeguarding of adults at risk and children (where appropriate), in conjunction with Company and local policy.

Night Staff only

4. To stay awake and not leave the building when on duty.
