Key Tasks
· Read and understand the service users’ individualised person centred Support Plans and Risk Assessments.
· Support service users to express their feelings, ideas and opinions through their chosen communication methods and where appropriate to support the service user develop their communication.
· Support service users with day to day living tasks identified within their person centred support plans, to maximise their independence with activities such as:
o Preparing meals
o Domestic tasks
o Exploration of interests and hobbies
o Shopping
o Accessing the local community & health services
o Social interactions
· Encourage and enable service users to make day-to-day choices and major life decisions.
· Personal care of an intimate nature such as washing, dressing and toileting.
· Monitoring, prompting and overseeing a service user’s medication, adhering to policy and procedure.
· Domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry and other general household duties.
· To understand and manage behaviours that may challenge others or harm themselves and others. Complete actuate, factual records of all incidents of behaviours that challenge
