Biomedical Scientist Histology

Trident Healthcare Solutions are currently seeking a skilled Band 5 HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist to join a private hospital in Kent for a 2-month locum position.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic histology department, supporting diagnostic services and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine histology techniques including embedding, sectioning, staining, and immunohistochemistry.
• Handle and process various tissue types, ensuring accurate and high-quality slides for pathological examination.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, performing quality control and troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate closely with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and timely diagnostic services.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
• Solid histology experience within a UK laboratory.
• Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
