ODP/Scrub Nurse |Orthopaedics| Theatre | Band 5/6 equivalent |
We are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced OPD / Nurse to join a high performing Theatre Team. With a focus on Orthopaedic scrub, this is your opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading private hospitals and take your career to the next level.
Most important is that Theatre staff /ODPs are experienced in a variety of surgical procedures or are willing to learn new procedures and techniques under expert supervision.
The hospital prides itself in offering excellence in clinical quality, customer service and cleanliness and have 5 state of the art Theatres and modern Surgical and Day Care Wards covering all major surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, plastics and medical patients amongst others.
Duties and responsibilities:
Scrub for major orthopaedics cases- joint replacements, hips, knees and spinal
You will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs
You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organize data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others
You will also develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices
Who we’re looking for
Current HCPC or NMC Registration with no restriction on practise
You will be a Registered Nurse or ODP; with at least 1 years’ experience in orthopaedic scrub
Experience of scrubbing for major orthopaedics, joint replacements, hips, knees and spinal
Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision
Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification
